My Journal - December 2005

So, a lot has been going on lately. It's too late to go into too much of it tonight, but let's just say that December has not been the best month for me so far. My normally unnaturally good luck has turned south. I've had car problems, work problems, dog problems, etc, etc. Anyway, I had some pics that I wanted to post, so here they are...

It's December already, and there's no missing that fact around Minnesota. I took the dog for a walk tonight and we barely made it three blocks or so before I gave up and came home. It's bitterly cold out there. Thank God there's snow on the ground, because there's nothing worse than freezing your butt off when it doesn't actually look like winter.

Rachel and I just got back from Wisconsin. We were at the first annual Winter Fest. Basically, it's Niccole's birthday and instead of just going out to a bar or something, we rented this huge cabin in northern Wisconsin. It was a blast. Lots and lots of drinking, playing 500, watching movies, playing twister, etc, etc, etc. I think everyone had a really great time. Niccole did a great job setting it all up. I ended up spending most of the weekend sipping beer and playing 500. I forgot how much I really enjoy playing that game. I really should go find a league to play in. I'm sure it'd mostly be old people, but I bet it would be fun anyway.
