About Me

My name is Robert. I work as a developer/programmer for a fairly big company. Most of my day at work is programming customer-focused applications which connect/integrate with big, back-end systems. My time away from work is filled up with my weekly obsessions (whatever those may be).

• My least favorite day of the week is Friday.
• My favorite color is green. Maybe blue. Probably blue.
• I don't particularly like sweets. I prefer food as a good, big, warm meal. I almost never snack.
• I lift weights at least once a week. I try to lift three times a week, but it's hard to schedule out that much time.
• I smoke about one pack of Camel Lights a day and love it. I'll quit some day, but not today. Probably not tomorrow either. :)
• I'm single.
• I love music. All kinds of music. iPods rule!
• Like most geeks, I am a neophiliac.
• I suck at math.
• My favorite book is Franny and Zooey. A close second is A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius.
• I'm always right in my head and never right on paper.
• The only things I watch on TV are documentaries, The Simpsons, and South Park.
• The only non-profit I give money to is the EFF. I'd give money to the United Way if it wasn't for their strong-arm (I dare say childish) tactics.
• I hate board games. All of them! I can stand Trivial Pursuit, a little.
• I am absolutely addicted to programming. Java makes me smile. :)
• I drink more Diet Coke and coffee than any human being should. Ah, caffeine is my own personal heroin.
• I seem to be totally incapable of feeling regret. I've done some stupid things and passed up some great opportunities in my life. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), I can't seem to feel regret for any of it. Strange.
• My favorite thing in this world is laughing, which I do at the drop of a hat even if something is only a little funny. My second favorite thing is my car. :)
• I'm a sucker for all things touching. Movies, books, music, etc. The big exception is children who, although usually far more interesting than adults, I find a bit too sticky and smelly to handle.
• I'm a textbook, extreme INTJ, a.k.a. Mastermind personality (alt link 1, alt link 2, alt link 3, alt link 4, alt link 5).
• I could not live without my bimmer (a.k.a. Breña), my iPod, or the existance of Jessica Alba.
